TRUMP LASHES OUT AT REPORTERS OVER MUELLER QUESTIONS: 'VERY DUMB… YOU'RE UNTRUTHFUL… ONE OF THE WORST'

President Donald Trump lashed out at reporters for asking him questions about former special counsel Robert Mueller's testimony in Congress today and whether he was worried that he could be indicted after leaving office.

During a press conference on Wednesday afternoon, the president rebuked reporters for asking him questions related to Mueller's testimony. When NBC's Hallie Jackson mentioned that Mueller had said that Trump could be indicted after leaving office, the president replied by declaring that she had asked "a very dumb and unfair question."

"When you saw Robert Mueller's statement. The earlier statement, and then he did a recap. He did a correction later on in the afternoon," he said. "And you know what that correction was, and you still ask the question. You know why, because you're fake news, you're one of the worst."

Trump added: "The fact that you even ask that question. You're fake news because you know what, he totally corrected himself in the afternoon and you know that just as well as anybody."

PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor and Playboy political reporter Brian Karem also claimed that the president were dismissive of their questions during the press conference. When Alcindor asked Trump to comment on Mueller's remark that his written answers were "generally untruthful," the president responded calling her "untruthful."

"I quoted Robert Mueller directly to President Trump and he replied that I was being 'untruthful' in my question. He was totally wrong," Alcindor tweeted.

In a video, shared on Twitter, Karem asked Trump: "Do you believe that, even though he backed away from it, after you leave office, you could face indictment for obstruction?

"No, because we did nothing wrong," the president responded, "it's very simple. Nothing was done wrong. This was all a big hoax and if you look at it today, nothing was done wrong."

Karem also shared a photo of Trump, saying the president called him "Fake News."

Mueller, who had said in an earlier statement that his team did not charge Trump because Department of Justice guidelines stated that a sitting president could not be indicted, walked back his remarks during the hearing. It was "not the correct way to say it," he said. "We did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime."

When asked whether Trump could possibly face indictment after he leaves the Oval Office, the former special counsel said, "yes."

Following the tense press conference, Trump apparently addressed the incident in a tweet. "'The kind of questions the White House Correspondents were asking is almost like they didn't see what went on at the hearings!' @JesseBWatters The hearings were a disaster for Robert Mueller & the Democrats. Nevertheless, the Fake News Media will try to make the best out of it!" the president tweeted.

Mueller testified before Congress for roughly six hours on Wednesday about his 448-page report on Russia interference in the 2016 presidential election. During his appearance, the former special counsel repeated his previous assertion that the nearly two-year-long investigation did not exonerate Trump of wrongdoing, despite the president's claims of innocence.

"Director Mueller, the president has repeatedly claimed that your report found there was no obstruction and that it completely and totally exonerated him. That is not what your report said, is it?" House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler asked.

"Correct, that is not what the report said," Mueller responded.
