Iran＇s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi condemned the International Atomic Energy Agency＇s resolution on the country＇s nuclear program on Wednesday， saying that the resolution is based on ＂fabrications＂ and will not achieve what its signatories intend．
＂They attack Iran＇s nuclear facilities under safeguards， disrupt the normal verification process， and then use that very disruption as a pretext to issue a resolution at the Board of Governors，＂ Gharibabadi wrote in a post on X．
The IAEA reported Iran to the U．N． Security Council for failure to cooperate in a long-running investigation into uranium traces detected by inspectors at various undeclared sites in Iran， according to the Associated Press．
The resolution was put forward by the U．S．， Britain， France and Germany， according to the AP．
Tanker hit by projectile off Iraqi coast， vessel listing off UAE， UKMTO says
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations （UKMTO） Centre said that it received a report of a tanker being attacked in the northern Persian Gulf on Wednesday morning．
The tanker was hit by an ＂unknown projectile＂ south-east of Al-Faw， Iraq， the UKMTO alert said． ＂Crew are reported safe and there is no environmental impact reported at this time，＂ the UKMTO added．
Also on Wednesday， the UKMTO issued another report of a vessel spotted listing off Port Rashid in the United Arab Emirates， ＂possibly indicating water ingress following an attack from an unknown projectile．＂
Iran says attacks on Jordan， US Navy vessels were ＇defensive＇
Iran on Wednesday condemned the latest U．S． attacks on Iranian oil tankers and said its subsequent strikes on regional U．S． targets were in self-defense．
＂The aggressive actions by the United States against Iranian commercial vessels not only represent a dangerous escalation of tensions in the region but also constitute an outright threat to regional and international peace and security，＂ the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement．
The ministry said its subsequent ＂defensive strikes＂ targeted ＂U．S． military bases and facilities located in Jordan that continue to support U．S． military aggressions against Iran， as well as several U．S． aggressive vessels．＂
Iranian forces， it added， ＂will not hesitate to exercise their inherent right of self-defense and will respond decisively and appropriately to any enemy military aggression．＂
CENTCOM denies IRGC claim of strikes on US destroyers
U．S． Central Command on Wednesday denied that Iranian forces had struck two U．S． Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East， following claims of a successful attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps published by state-aligned media in Iran．
The IRGC claim of a successful strike ＂is completely FALSE，＂ CENTCOM said in a post to X．
＂No U．S． Navy warship has been struck； all IRGC attempted attacks failed． Meanwhile， U．S． forces have successfully destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in just the last week． These vessels were part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC， and Iran cannot defend them．＂
Global oil price hits $100 amid US-Iran exchanges
The price of global oil hit $100 a barrel on Wednesday morning， the first time the price reached that threshold since July 24．
Brent crude oil prices， a benchmark for global trading， climbed by about 2．7%， trading at about $100．57 a barrel for contracts with November dates．
U．S． oil traded at about $95 a barrel， up by about 2%．
The price of global oil has been rising throughout the week amid intensified exchanges between the U．S． and Iran centered on the Strait of Hormuz， plus an escalation of fighting between Iran-backed Houthi rebels and Saudi-backed government forces in Yemen．
Iranian attack on Jordan ＇ineffective，＇ US official says
A U．S． official said a missile attack carried out by Iran toward Jordan was ＂ineffective．＂
“Iran’s response was ineffective in face of integrated air and missile defenses，＂ the official said． ＂Iran fired missiles toward Jordan． American forces have 100% accountability at all locations in Jordan．＂
The Iranian missile barrage came after the U．S． said it destroyed five Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps oil tankers on Tuesday in response to the targeting of a U．S． Navy warship．
In an earlier statement， the Jordanian Armed Forces said Jordanian air defense systems intercepted 20 ballistic missiles launched toward Jordanian territory， successfully intercepting and destroying 18 of them， while two missiles fell in remote areas．
No loss of life was recorded， according to the Jordanian army statement．
IRGC says it fired at US-related targets in Jordan
In response to U．S． strikes on Iranian oil tankers， the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have fired at U．S．-related targets in Jordan．
The targets included a hangar for fighter jets at the Al-Azraq base， it said．
US destroys 5 IRGC tankers， including 1 near Kharg Island： CENTCOM
U．S． Central Command said its forces destroyed five Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps oil tankers on Tuesday in response to the targeting of a U．S． Navy warship．
Four of the tankers were in the Gulf of Oman， while one was near Kharg Island， CENTCOM said．
＂American forces directed the crews to abandon ship before the vessels were struck and rendered inoperable，＂ CENTCOM said．
The targeted U．S． Navy warship evaded Iranian missile attacks and no American forces were harmed， according to CENTCOM．

Iran state media says US attacked oil tanker near Kharg Island
Iran state media claimed the U．S． attacked an oil tanker near Kharg Island on Tuesday．
According to a report from Tasnim News Agency， a small Iranian oil tanker， located 4 nautical miles from Kharg Island， was the target of a missile attack by the U．S． military．
The tanker was struck by a projectile fired by U．S． forces in the vicinity of Kharg Island＇s anchorage， Tasnim said．
Tasnim said there are no reported casualties．
Iran says it seized American underwater drone
Iran claimed it seized an American underwater drone that the U．S． said had malfunctioned．
An underwater drone operated by the U．S． malfunctioned “more than a day ago” when it was surveying waters in the Middle East， a U．S． official told ABC News．
The same U．S． official said that the drone was ＂an older model that neither collected sensitive data nor carried any classified sonar or radar equipment．＂
Trump admin targets Iran＇s aviation sector in effort to strangle Iranian economy
The Trump administration is sanctioning 36 entities that it says support Iran＇s aviation sector， which the administration says helps the Iranian regime ＂move weapons， personnel， and illicit cargo＂ as well as companies that they acted as intermediaries for Iran．
This is the most recent in a string of actions targeting the Iranian economy as the Trump administration shifts their war strategy to financial strangulation．
＂Let this be a warning to anyone doing business with Iran’s remaining airlines， all of which we sanctioned today： You are at risk of being cut off from the global financial system，＂ Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement．
The Treasury Department sanctioned companies that facilitated the business of the already sanctioned Mahan Air as well as ＂three Iran-related aviation authorizations ＂ that it said allowed for overflights and ＂on-U．S． airlines to fly U．S．-origin or U．S．-controlled commercial aircraft into Iran．＂
＂Any foreign firm or individual enabling sanctioned Iranian airlines—including through aircraft transfers， cargo services， or general sales agent support—will face serious consequences for supporting the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism，＂ the Treasury Department said in a statement．
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia wound 73， halt energy operations， officials say
Attacks on Saudi Arabia by Yemen＇s Houthi rebels wounded at least 73 people and halted operations at some energy facilities on Tuesday， the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and the Saudi Energy Ministry said．
Fires erupted at a number of energy sites and several people were injured as emergency teams rushed to contain the blazes and assess the damage， the Saudi Energy Ministry said in a statement．
The Iran-backed Houthis attacked the southern cities of Abha， Khamis Mushait， Jazan and Najran， the coalition said in a statement． It described the latest attacks as a ＂dangerous escalation，＂ vowing to respond．
＂The coalition will take all necessary operational measures to deter this terrorist militia and resolutely confront its hostile approach，＂ coalition spokesperson Col． Turki al-Malki said in a statement published on X．

Trump says oil prices will drop ＇when we WIN the war＇
President Donald Trump on Monday claimed that oil prices will ＂drop precipitously＂ when the U．S． wins the ongoing war with Iran．

Trump＇s post came as oil prices hit a six-week high on Monday， with global prices inching closer to $100 a barrel． U．S． oil was trading at $92．63 up about 1．3% and global oil was trading at $97．31 up more than 1%．
27 killed in 3 days of Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon： Officials
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Monday that 27 people have been killed in three days of Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon．
The agency also said that 69 people have been wounded including women， children and paramedics．
Iran issues warning to South Korea over potential actions in the Strait
The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a stark warning to South Korea on Monday amid reports the government is weighting a more active role in the Strait of Hormuz．
＂South Korea and other countries know that any participation in America＇s aggressive and interventionist actions in the region will be considered complicity in overt military aggression， will only complicate the situation， and will certainly not make shipping routes safer，＂ Esmaeil Baqaei， a spokesperson for the ministry， said at a briefing．
＂We have not taken an official stance， of course， but we have been in contact appropriately with South Korean officials through our embassy in Seoul， and we publicly warn all countries that they should be careful not to become tools for America＇s aggressive actions，＂ he continued．
Later on Monday， Baqaei posted a message on X saying ties between the two countries have ＂consistently developed on the basis of mutual respect＂ and that no country should ＂yield to America＇s pressure and threats．＂
Iran can target US oil facilities， Ghalibaf says in response to Hegseth
The speaker of the Iranian parliament， Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf， posted to X on Monday in response to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth＇s threat to sink Iranian oil tankers if Iran targeted the U．S． Navy．
＂It＇s simple： the oil and gas production chain here is sprawling， accessible， and exposed，＂ Ghalibaf said． ＂American oil and gas companies across these waters and facilities share that exposure． Strike our assets and you get struck． We＇ve already proven it． Ask the bases that are no longer viable．＂
Iran-Qatar talks continue， Iranian official says
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei told reporters at his weekly press conference on Monday that a Qatari delegation was in Iran on Sunday ＂to help reduce tensions，＂ and that an Iranian technical delegation had visited Qatar recently．
11 killed in overnight Israeli strikes in south Lebanon， state media says
Overnight Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people -- among them two children -- and wounded five others， according to reports by the Lebanese state news agency NNA．
The deadly strikes occurred in the town of Kfar Rumman in the south of the country， NNA reported． Nine people were killed in an airstrike on a residential building and two people were killed in a drone strike on a car， NNA said．
There were strikes in several other towns in southern Lebanon overnight， including in Deir Zahrani， where the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning ahead of a strike on a building．
Israel has not commented on the strikes in Kfar Rumman．
Iran plans new ＇restricted zone＇ outside Strait of Hormuz， official says
Mohsen Rezaei， the secretary of Iran＇s Supreme National Security Council， said on Sunday that a restricted zone will be announced in the coming days ＂outside＂ the Strait of Hormuz， in comments carried by Iranian state media．
＂We＇re making changes，＂ Rezaei said． ＂In the coming days and weeks， we＇re going to announce a restricted prohibited zone outside the Strait of Hormuz， which begins from the blockade line of the U．S． Navy， including the Strait Of Hormuz， and extends to the Persian Gulf from the other side．＂
Few details were given on the plan， but Rezaei said any ship that enters the zone ＂with the intention of crossing the Strait of Hormuz＂ will be put on a sanctions list．
No more ＇proportionate responses，＇ chief Iranian negotiator says
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf， Iran＇s chief negotiator and the speaker of the country＇s parliament， said in a speech posted to Telegram on Sunday that ＂the era of ＇proportionate responses＇ is over．＂
The recent Iranian strikes targeting U．S． bases in the Middle East were ＂only the beginning，＂ Ghalibaf said．
＂The rules of the game have changed， and from now on， any transgression against the interests and security of Iran will receive a ＇faster， heavier， and more painful＇ response，＂ Ghalibaf said．
Iran navy says they attacked 3 oil tankers， US-linked vessels
Iran＇s IRGC navy said in a statement on Saturday that they have targeted three oil tankers which have been sailing through ＂an unauthorized route＂ in the Strait of Hormuz， as well as three vessels affiliated with the United States in other areas．
The IRGC navy warned all vessels in the Persian Gulf and near the Strait of Hormuz ＂not to be deceived＂ by the U．S． military and refrain from ＂any suspicious movement＂ to pass through unauthorized waterways or they would be targeted．
The U．S． has not immediately commented about the claims．
